The government has fixed the last date for linking the mobile number to March 31, 2018. The Government wants everybody to join their mobile number base till this date. For those who have not yet linked their mobile number to the base, the government is going to provide a new facility.

Earlier, the government had asked the telecom companies to make such a number available to their customers on which they could link their numbers to the base. The government had asked the telecom companies to provide people with the option of linking them with their mobile number base through the app or website.
Following this government order, telecom companies have issued a toll free number (IVR). By calling this number, you will need to provide the information of the base and after this your mobile number will be linked to the base.

Toll Free Number 14546 has been issued to link the mobile number to the base. You must first tell your base number by calling it. After the call, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. After entering the OTP sent, your number will be linked to the base.
The government has given the facility of linking the mobile number to the base by coming to the house for more than 70 years of age, non-resident Indians and Divas.
