BSNL launches only Rs 499 phone

Public sector telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched the Detel D1 feature phone at a price of only 499 rupees. BSNL has taken this step by connecting this phone with Detel.

The company claims that Detel D1 is the cheapest feature phone and it comes with BSNL’s bundled connection. The validity of the first recharge on this phone is 365 days.

Under this agreement, users will also get Talk Time of Rs. 103. In this, the call rate from BSNL to BSNL is 15 paise per minute whereas the call rate on any other network is 40 paise per minute. Apart from this, BSNL is also offering personal ringback tones for 28 days.

BSNL has also entered into an agreement with Detel SG Corporate Mobility to sell the Bundled Detel D1 phone to its customers.

  • This is a single SIM phone that means it will only be the SIM of BSNL.
  • The phone’s display is 1.44 inches monochrome (Black and White).
  • The phone has a battery of 650mAh capacity.
  • The phone also has torchlight, phonebook, FM radio, speaker and vibration mode.
  • The phone comes with one year warranty.

During the launch of the phone, SG Corporate Mobility Managing Director Yogesh Bhatia said, “India is one of the world’s places where more than the smartphone feature phone calls, these phones are either priced by a large population or Then it is preferred for its simplicity.
